October Lunch and Learn - Assessing Space

  • Brown Hall Dining Hall - UNC Asheville One University Heights Asheville, NC 28804 (map)

Do you ever walk into a space and get that immediate sense of "I belong here. I am right at home." or another reaction of "Something doesn't feel right - do I belong here?"

This interactive training facilitated by Deborah Miles, Director of the Center for Diversity, will look at how spaces are sometimes created with specific people in mind - either consciously or unconsciously. Participants will learn how to assess space for "messages" and learn ways to create spaces that are more welcoming for all.

Join us for lunch and a great learning opportunity on Wednesday, October 26th from 11:30 - 1:00 in Brown Hall 218/19 UNC Asheville's Dining Hall.

***Registration is required

***Space is limited! Registration will be capped at 15 participants
